The Casey Anthony Trial: Very Funny, George
61
Not So Nice, Is He?
The warrant. George Anthony sees the world in shades of George Anthony. He is a narcissist. He told Jose Baez, in reference to the first warrant, that everything in his house is associated with him. His house, not our house or the house but his house. It’s all about him. Does he wear Cindy’s clothes? Play with Caylee’s toys? Obviously he didn’t want to answer the question with a yes or no; whether or not the police specifically looked through his things. He doesn’t want the kind of attention that makes him look bad even if it’s true. And it was or the question would never have been asked.
The gun. Oh dear. An ex-cop with his out-on-bail daughter in the house goes out and buys a gun. His reasoning on the stand, to threaten her friends, is bullcrap. He knows what will happen if he brings that gun into their house. He was trying to implicate Casey. He wanted her in jail. This man has his own agenda. I can see why Casey is afraid of her parents.
The suicide. Blood pressure pills and beer were all that was mentioned at the time of the so called attempted suicide. The combination does not kill. George wanted sympathetic attention. An 8 page suicide note? All about him.
The mistress. Even Mike Brooks doesn’t buy the crap coming out of George’s mouth on this one. “That’s very funny”, said George. Inappropriate and an obvious lie. Ok, I wouldn’t want someone as nutzoid as Cindy Anthony to know I’d done something wrong either. She’s bonkers. But personally I think he’s a lousy actor. The mistress, whatever her name is, is 100% more credible than George. I believe her, not him. He wasn’t getting the attention he desired at that time and here was this woman ready to give it to him. He went for it.
Sigh. This family makes Roy Kronk look normal.
What do I think happened? I think it was an accident. Casey wasn’t paying attention, the kid drowned and, being from the whacky town family, Casey did not call 911 but hid the body. This is in keeping with the family dynamics. It makes sense. I do think she's guily of neglect, due to stupidity, and misleading the police.
This is not entertainment people. It is not a way to get some drama into your lives. It is not the appropriate way to bring out some misplaced self-righteousness that has been festering within your being. TV clowns like Casey Jordan are paid to work up your emotions. We should be interested in the truth not past slights or imaginary snubs which we can now place upon the defendant. Leave personal prejudice behind and look at reality. Jettison your emotions and look at the facts. Stop viewing someone’s life as “TV”.
